History

The Club's origins began in September 1934, when a group of nine clubs, whose members were all part of the supervisory force of the Bethlehem Steel plant of Bethlehem, PA, petitioned the Commonwealth of PA to incorporate all 9 clubs into one non-profit corporation called the Bethlehem Steel Club. The Steel Club, as it came to be known, was originally formed to foster competitive sports, social interaction, good fellowship, and technical discussions. One of the nine founding clubs, the Sunshine Club, owned a property northeast of Hellertown Borough consisting of 12 acres and a stone farmhouse and this became the Steel Club's original club house.

On January 28, 1986, the club entered the second phase of existence, when it was officially named Silver Creek Country Club and became a private non-profit corporation under the management of its members.

In 2018, under new ownership and name, the ideals of the Club live on again. Our 280 acres include 27 holes of a Championship 18 and Hill 9; a TrackMan driving range; indoor practice area with many chipping, hitting and putting bays as well as a TrackMan simulator; a nationally ranked disc golf course; Olympic sized swimming pool; and a 27,000 square foot clubhouse that encompasses the Blackplate Ballroom that accommodates up to 200, the BeamYard and Grace Room a la carte dining facilities that overlook our 100 seat patio with views of the 18th green, and many more private rooms available for your special event. Our experienced staff caters to your every need, making sure you are always comfortable and welcomed.

Building upon developments we have already made over the past four years as Steel Club, plans are already in motion for 159 townhouses, a heated two-story driving range, tennis courts, full athletic turf field, and more!
